Emergency Equipment

There is a host of emergency equipment that can make surviving a disaster much more likely. Solar powered flashlights, radios and even ovens are available for those that want to make the most out of their emergency supplies. These items are ideal because they do not require any external power supplies to operate.

During an extended situation, water filters can be essential pieces of emergency equipment. Once your stored water has run out, new sources will need to be found, and not all of these sources will be drinkable. A quality water filter can provide an adequate water supply, provided you can find a source.

Survival items such as flint and tinder, signaling mirrors and GPS equipment can also be essential emergency equipment. Such items can be extremely useful if you find yourself having to survive away from civilization. Most of this equipment is fairly compact and can be easily stored with other emergency items.
