Emergency Kits

Emergency kits are one of the best things you can have available during a disaster situation. These kits often contain medical supplies, food and water, and a host of other emergency items. Most experts suggest having one for your home and for your car.

Aside from the basics mentioned above, there are many other items that can prove useful as part of most emergency kits. If you have infants in your home, it is highly recommended that you include baby formula and diapers as part of your emergency storage. Food and water for your pets should also be taken into consideration.

Many people keep cash as part of their emergency kits. During a disaster, it is not usually possible to stop by a bank and withdraw any needed cash, which is why it’s so important to have it readily available. Other items such as sleeping bags, tents, matches, and mess kits are also highly recommended.
