Emergency Supplies
An emergency doesn’t have to be fatal if you have the right emergency supplies. Being prepared ahead of time is by far the best way to avoid any serious danger should an emergency arise. This is why many experts suggest having an emergency kit in both your home and your car.
Food and water are two of the most important emergency supplies you can have on hand. As a general rule, a 72 hour emergency kit should have at least one gallon of water per person, per day. A three-day supply of non-perishable food items is also suggested.
A first aid kit is also a highly recommended part of emergency supplies. These kits should include a number of things such as latex gloves, dressings and antibiotic ointment. Any prescribed medications should also be stored in these kits as well.
